Wally Kidd Welcome to Walloon Holiday 2019

In this issue of Welcome to Walloon, we reminisce about one of Walloon’s favorite pastimes, fishing. I also share with you a look at another passion of all of ours, Walloon Lake real estate. In the following pages, you will see my collection of the lake’s finest properties currently offered for sale. Inventory is as low on the lake now, as it has been in recent memory. Because of this, values are strong, and in many cases continue to move upwards. I am honored that so many Wallooners have called on me to handle the sale and purchase of their family’s cherished properties. They recognize that my authentic marketing, work ethic, industry knowledge, and proven sales record have made me Walloon’s go-to realtor.

I would like to take this opportunity to…

Wally Kidd fishing Walloon LakeBefore Twitter and Instagram, fishing was a popular pastime on Walloon lake. You could almost say that modern-day Walloon is what it is because of fishing. In this issue, you’ll see a vintage copy of The Fisherman Magazine that my father had saved. It’s a nostalgic look back at fishing and of 1950’s Walloon (the…

HIGH DEMAND AND LOW SUPPLY ARE DRIVING HOUSING PRICES HIGHER. WHAT’S NEXT?

BY ROSS BOISSONEAU on NORTHERNEXPRESS.COM | OCT. 6, 2018

The housing market is always reacting to the law of supply and demand. When there’s a glut of homes on the market, prices drop. When demand outstrips supply, prices escalate.

“Home sales are continuing to rise in our area. In certain price ranges, there are shortages of availability. So we are seeing multiple offers and consumers willing to pay more than the asking price and more than [its] true value to secure a home in Traverse City,” said Carolyn Collins. Collins is a Realtor with Century 21 Northland and president-elect of the…
