Walloon Lake is a place that has called people to its crystal clear shorelines for years and years to enjoy its beauty.

“Most of the homes that we see on Walloon are privately owned. Lots with waterfront and they’re contained. This has a historical path that runs along the water here so people up the lake and down the lake use it to get to the village,” says Wally Kidd, Wally Kidd Real Estate.

There are some really amazing homes that line its shores.

In this week’s Amazing Northern Michigan Homes, we take a peek at a home with modern features in the “old school” Walloon.

His literary works are highly regarded, and his novel The Old Man and the Sea earned him a Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953 and 1954. Northern Michigan in the summer is one of the most desirable spots in the entire country. The combination of sunshine, heat, and freshwater is unmatched. In real estate today some base their knowledge on fact, while others hope that what they’ve heard is accurate and relay it as fact. I pride myself in offering my clientele credible facts, and like Jerry McDermott, I pride myself as a no-nonsense kind of guy.
