The Links

The first one you want to visit is The Links, located in Bay Harbor. The course celebrated its 20th-anniversary last year. This beauty is an Arthur Hills masterpiece that winds along 150-foot bluffs overlooking one of the deepest freshwater lakes in the world. Inspired by the beautiful seaside courses in Scotland, it has a par 71. You will especially enjoy hole number seven, which is ranked one of the top 500 golf holes in the world by Golf Magazine. It has also been rated one of the top courses in Michigan in both 2015 and 2017 on Golf Advisor.

The Preserve

After trying out The Links, be sure to check out The Preserve, also located in Bay Harbor. This course provides a little something for everyone—lush woods, wildlife, and breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. The highlight of this course is the final hole, which has an exciting par 3 to finish off your game.

The Quarry

Rounding out your tour of Bay Harbor Golf Courses is The Quarry. This exceptional course is aptly named, as it was created out of an actual quarry whose robust terrain was maintained to develop a game of golf you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Lest you worry it might not live up the beauty of the other Bay Harbor golf courses, it also provides fantastic views of Lake Michigan.

Boyne Mountain

Just a short distance from Bay Harbor is the hidden gem of Boyne Mountain. If you are looking for a truly unique experience, these courses located in Boyne Falls, Michigan may be the ticket. The variety of terrain and elevations offer challenges for every player.

The Alpine

First, there is The Alpine course, which serves as host to the annual Tournament of Champions and holds sweeping views of nearby Deer Lake. This course is a par 72 and contains a wide range of hazards for an exciting game set to test all of your golf skills.

The Monument

Also at Boyne Mountain, The Monument course. Built in 1984, this course features a legendary island green on the 18th hole and makes for a somewhat challenging day of golf if you are up for it. It also as a par 72 and a holds a 5-star rating on Golf Advisor.
